Supratidal Park is located along the seawall near East Vancouver. It is well connected by multiple transport modes; however, the original narrow site precludes meaningful programming in East Park.
The proposal aims to :
1. Reposition the park in a place to slow, stop and engage in diverse activities - meandering paths connecting diverse context-specific programs
2. Encourage subtidal, tidal and supratidal habitat for diverse coastal ecology - traversal and occupiable slopes, terraces and steps
3. Celebrate the identity of East Park as a place of future change and the coastal 'in-between' - use of reclaimed wood and future sea level rise strategies
